Roof Repair in Metro Atlanta

A leak or a few missing shingles doesn't always mean a whole new roof. We'll find the problem, tell you the truth, and fix what actually needs fixing.

Not every roof repair starts with a leak

Some repairs begin with a stain on the ceiling. Others begin with shingles in the yard after a windy night. Either way, damage in one area of a roof usually stays a repair.

Shingle damage. Missing shingles after high wind. Lifted or creased shingles that look fine from the ground but have a broken seal underneath. Hail bruising, limb damage, and worn ridge cap along the peak.

Leaks. Almost always where something interrupts the roof: the rubber collar around a vent pipe, the metal seam where the roof meets a chimney or a wall, a valley carrying water off two sections at once, or a nail that worked its way up.

Water also runs sideways along the wood under your shingles before it drops through, so the stain on your ceiling is often several feet from the actual hole. That's why patching under the stain rarely holds.

How a roof repair goes.

We get on the roof and find the source, not just the symptom. You see photos of everything we found before any work starts, along with a price in writing. Most repairs are finished in a single visit.

  • We match your shingles as closely as weathering allows, and tell you up front if a color difference is going to show.

  • We replace instead of reseal anywhere sealant would only buy you a season.

  • We check the area around the damage, since wind and hail rarely hit one spot and leave the rest alone.

  • We document everything for an insurance claim if you have one worth filing.

  • We tarp it same day when a roof is open and water is actively coming in.

Repair or replace? A roof under 15 years old with damage isolated to one slope or one penetration is a repair. A roof past 18 or 20 years with curling and granule loss across the whole roof is a replacement. You'll know which one you're looking at before you hear a price.
